Hi!
I’m a recent PhD graduate from the Computational Photography Lab
at SFU, advised by Prof. Yağiz Aksoy.
I'm interested in machine learning approaches for photography, image editing and VFX.
My research spans computational photography as well as classical computer vision applications.
I have gained expertise in single-image HDR reconstruction and color science, and have worked
extensively on
monocular depth-estimation and class-agnostic image segmentation before.
I had the opportunity to join Netflix as a ML Reseach Intern in 2025,
working on HDR
scene reconstruction. Before my Ph.D., I spent a few years as
a
Postproduction Supervisor at CinePostproduction
working on numerous theatrical and television productions and restorations.
I received my M.Eng. in Imaging and Media Technology from TH Köln in
2015 and my B.Eng. Audiovisual Media from Media University
Stuttgart in 2011.
